Printing Tips
- Use blank white regular printer paper (US Letter) for best results.
- You can also use A4 size paper but adjust the paper setting on your printer and check the margins before printing.
- You can also print the templates on colored paper, however, do note that very dark colors may not show the outlines well.
What Can You Do with These Free Printable Acorn Templates?
- Autumn crafts and decorations: Cut out the acorn shapes from colored paper, cardstock, or craft foam to make fall garlands, wreaths, table decorations, and seasonal displays. Mix the plain and criss-cross designs to create a little variety.
- Acorn tracing and cutting practice: Use the smaller templates for simple tracing activities with children. The larger outlines are handy for cutting practice, paper collages, and autumn-themed classroom projects.
- Gift tags and labels: Turn the acorn outlines into handmade gift tags for fall presents, treat bags, party favors, and small gifts. Write a name or short message inside the shape, punch a hole near the top, and attach a ribbon or string.
- Thanksgiving crafts: Combine the acorn templates with printable leaves, pumpkins, and other autumn shapes to create Thanksgiving decorations, place cards, or a seasonal paper centerpiece.
- Scrapbooking and card making: Trace the templates onto patterned paper, cardstock, or scrapbook paper to make embellishments for handmade cards, journals, invitations, and autumn scrapbook layouts.
- Food-themed crafts and activities: Use the acorn shapes to decorate pretend food projects, autumn play kitchens, or seasonal activity sheets. For a fun baking-themed craft, create paper acorn decorations alongside pictures of cookies, candies, and treats topped with white chocolate chips.
- Stencils for painting and drawing: Print the larger acorn templates on thicker paper or cardstock, cut out the shapes, and use them as simple stencils for painting acorns onto posters, fabric projects, paper bags, and other craft surfaces.
