About the Collection
This free circle template printable collection includes 19 circle sizes, from 1-inch full circles to 10.5-inch semicircles. Each template increase by 0.5 inches. All templates feature a simple black outline, making it easy to trace, cut out, or use as a pattern for crafts, school projects, decorations, and other creative activities.
The collection includes the following sizes:
- Full circle templates: 15 sizes ranging from 1 inch to 8 inches, in half-inch increments (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, and 8 inches).
- Semicircle templates: 5 sizes ranging from 8.5 inches to 10.5 inches, in half-inch increments (8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, and 10.5 inches).
For accurate print sizes, print at actual size or 100% scale and check that your printer settings do not shrink or enlarge the template. Please note that all the sizes indicated are close approximates that there might be slight variation in the printed templates.
All templates are designed for US Letter paper in portrait orientation and are available in PDF format. The largest full circle that fits on a standard US Letter page is 8 inches in diameter. For larger sizes, semicircle templates are provided so you can create circles up to 10.5 inches across.
The semi circle templates offer two ways to create a larger, complete circle:
- Trace a full circle on folded paper: Print and cut out the semicircle template. Place it along the folded edge of a sheet of paper, with the straight edge aligned to the fold. Trace around the curved edge, then cut along the outline and unfold the paper to reveal a full circle.
- Trace both halves separately: Print and cut out the semicircle template. Trace around the curved edge to draw one half of the circle, then flip the template over and align its straight edge with the first half. Trace the other half to complete the circle.
The printable circle shape PDF files can be opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download and print the templates as many times as you need. However, please note that the printables are for personal use only.

How to Download, Save, and Print the Templates

Printing Tips
- Use blank white paper for best results as it is the best for the outlines to show.
- These free circle template printable are designed for standard US letter size paper. You can also use A4 size paper but adjust the paper setting on your printer and check the margins before printing. To get the accurate measurement of the circles, set the print scale to 100%. Do note however, that the large circle templates may not print in full on an A4 paper due to difference in US letter and A4 paper size measurement.
- For colored circle cutouts, print the templates on colored paper. Avoid very dark paper, as the printed black outline may be difficult to see.
- If you need a specific circle size, such as a 4-inch or 5-inch circle, print at 100% or actual size. Avoid “Fit to page,” which may change the dimensions. This applies to US letter paper size as well.
- For the semi circle templates, print one half and place it along the folded edge of a sheet of paper. Trace around it, then cut out the shape and unfold the paper to reveal a complete, symmetrical circle. Alternatively, trace one half onto your paper, flip the template over, and trace the other side to complete the circle outline.
